| So, I was thinking over the past few days. Are there any of you that have written poetry? If you have, feel free to put it in a comment! I think it would be cool to use this as an outlet of the inner voice. And don't be afraid what others might think... I don't think many visit this site anyway so nobody will make fun of you! Yay! I'll put one of my practice works up as a start. The Moonlit Angel Who is she that dost run throughout this forest? Her graceful nature has been to long caught By the moons soft touch on her fairest eyes I have never seen a more beautiful angel. And with subtle grace she lays her head to rest The earth and grass to soften her brow And grant her comfort as she rides the night Dreaming of lands that are not of these woods | | |
| Wow, I really need to start updating this site! Ok, so things have kept me busy and I havn't been able to get the first activity going. But... we might do something... eventually. Yeah. In the meantime... I don't know. I'm open to suggestions of what the society can do and where. And when. So send a message and let us see what we can put together. | | |
| Hey There! Puck again! You all might wonder why I am chosing to maintain a character name for the Dead Poet Society. That's because as a member, you have to get one too! It can be any character from any literary work. Try to be creative and match yourself with a character that either means something to you personally or shares similarities. Have fun! And let me know what name you choose! | | |
| Puck is having much fun changing this Xanga around. He probably should be more focused on the first meeting of the Society, but he isn't. But don't worry. When he gets around to it, he will tell you! (By the way, Puck likes refering to himself in third person!) | | |
| First let me introduce myself to all who do not know me. I am Puck! A nimble and witty sprite with a knack for trouble and mischief. I tend to go over the edge and to act somewhat unusually and, without warning, I sometimes do things that might not be such a good idea after I do it. It is in this case, that I perform a rather random and interesting feat. I begin today a society which was inspired most in part by a video containing such and inspirational thought. That one could understand life and the human race by simply opening the pages of a book and reading aloud. That ones soul can be unlocked and set free to sour at limitless hights by the passing of verse. I know that not many will think this clever, nor do I expect to have a score of members who share the same enthusiasm as I. Yet, for those who wish to step back from the world on occasion and search for answers between the lines, then you are gladdly welcomed to this my newest whim... with great enthusiasm and hope I, Robin "Puck" Goodfellow, begin the Dead Poets Society! | | |
